
Eighteen year old and reigning Miss Nagaland 1st runner-up Ropfuzhano Whiso is all set to represent Nagaland in the FBB Colours Femina Miss India 2018 slated to be held in Mumbai in the later part of June 2018.
A student of Little Flower Higher Secondary School Kohima, Whiso had recently appeared her Class XII exam and has been involved in charity works.
Talking to media persons, BASN member Mele Pucho said Whiso was selected out of five contestants during an audition for FBB Colours Femina Miss India East Zone organised by Miss India Organisation held at Big Bazaar, City Square, Guwahati on March 11.
Pucho said after the new setup of the BASN took over, this will be the second time the society will be sending it’s contestants to take part in the national arena. Pucho added that BASN was also working on a project for Whiso under the theme “Beauty with a purpose”,
BASN member Tiarenla said Whiso will be groomed by the East Zone mentor Pooja Chopra, who was also the Femina Miss India World in 2009. Tiarenla informed that BASN will provide all logistic support to Whiso, while also welcoming any kind of assistance to help Whiso.
Sharing her experience, 1st runner up of Miss Nagaland 2014, Kaheli Chophy said she had a great learning experience when she represented Nagaland.
Chophy expressed gratitude to the people and BASN in particular for giving her the platform to represent Nagaland.
Meanwhile, Chophy appealed to all Nagas to extend full support to Whiso in order to return home victorious.
BASN member Neitho Khamo also urged all Nagas to encourage Whiso, especially through social media, to help boost her confidence.
