State govt urged to implement revision of pension

In view of the government of India authorised revision of pension, the District Pensioner Association Mokokchung (DPAM) has appealed to Nagaland government to implement the OMs as per the government of India’s revision.  
A press release by DPAM ex-president, N. Tali Jamir and ex-secretary L. T. Aier stated that revision of pension for its pensioners/family pensioners should be undertaken by government of Nagaland without further delay.  It stated that pension/family pension of all pre-2008 Nagaland pensioners/family pensioners have been revised as authorized vide ROP/2010 (Nagaland) at the rate 50/30% of the minimum of pay in the pay band and the grade pay with effect from April 1, 2010.
DPAM also stated that government of India have authorised revision of pension, further stepping up to 50% of the sum of minimum of the pay in the pay band and the grade pay, thereon corresponding to the pre-revised pay scale from which the pensioner has retired as arrived at with reference to the fitment table with effect from September 24, 2012. DPAM stated that government of India has been providing various provisions for senior citizens who are more in need of financial assistance and urged the Nagaland government to reconsider the same.
