For the first time, a free medical camp was conducted for inhabitants of C/Gohching village which was organised and sponsored by DUDA, Saturday at DIET centre, Mon. Addressing the gathering as the guest speaker, advisor DUDA, Thongwang Konyak said it was appropriate to organise a free medical camp during this season as change of weather causes many diseases. Stating that the doctors would prescribe the medicine but the ultimate healing would be from God, he asked the villagers to live a prayerful life. Konyak also appreciated DUDA led by its commissioner secretary and director for their co-operation and humanely initiative taken for the people of Mon Sadar under 46th AC.
He also appreciated the doctors who came all the way form Kohima, from various hospitals and from District Hospital Mon, led by CMO, Mon.
The doctors available were specialist in pediatrics, gynecology, ophthalmology, ENT and general medicine. The camp also provided medicines to the patients, free of charge The programme was chaired by director, DUDA, T /Chingnyu Baptist Church Pastor Chingjak invoked god’s presence, C/Gohching council chairman said the welcome note and C/Gohching Baptist Church pastor Gotok pronounced the benediction.
