Pertinent issues discussed at Peren DPDB meet

Peren District Planning & Development Board meeting was held on July 6 at New Headquarters Peren under the chairmanship of deputy commissioner (DC) and vice chairman DPDB Peren, Peter Lichamo. 

After reviewing the last month’s meeting minutes, the board discussed upgradation of mechanical engineer in the district, installation of transformer at high school and community health centre (CHC) at Jalukie town, stated a DIPR report.

Sub-divisional officer (SDO- power) appraised the house on shortage of electricity. The board also recommended grant-in-aid to Peren Valley School Jalukie and creation of additional post of sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) at Jalukie, which was put up by superintendent of police (SP) Peren. Board also asked the PWD for maintenance of road between New Peren to Ahthibung, which was neglected for many years.

The meeting also discussed work distribution for the forthcoming Independence Day celebration. Earlier, house welcomed new members including chief veterinary officer Peren Dr. Atem Ao, SDO (PWD) R&B Asempe Npungcha, technical assistant employment KuloKezo and SDO Sericulture Ngangshi as members.
