Parliamentary secretary for labour and employment (including skill development) and border affairs Mmhonlumo Kikon has encouraged Kikon Shentsüta Ekhüng (KSE) the apex body of Kikon clan of Lotha community to move forward together and achieve “greater collective glory”.
Speaking at the installation programme of new office bearers of Kikon Shentsüta Ekhüng (KSE) on June 12, at DBHSS youth centre, Wokha, Mmhonlumo underlined the need to re-visit the past in order to take courage and inspiration from it.
Congratulating and encouraging the new team of KSE office bearers, Kikon advised them to be pro-active, courageous and accommodative while serving their brethren.
Also delivering a speech, Nagaland home secretary Chonthungo Kikon urged the new team of KSE office bearers to ensure that the body remains a neutral body without any political inclinations.
Short speeches were also delivered by outgoing KSE chairman Chophathung Kikon and Kikon Shentsüta Ekhüng (KSE) chairman-elect N. Zubemo Kikon.
Reverend Dr. L. Lumchamo Kikon dedicated the new team of KSE office bearers for the tenure 2015-18.
The team will be led by N. Zubemo Kikon (Koio) as chairman, Nribemo Kikon (Longsa) as vice chairman, Yanrenthung Kikon (Wokhayan) as general secretary along with four other members.
Earlier, invocation was delivered by Reverend Mhonyimo Kikon, KSE search committee member Yanpansao Kikon presented general observations.
The programme was moderated by GHSS Chukitong principal Y. Vungthungo Kikon and recorded by DIC Wokha functional manager K. Myingthungo Kikon.
