Two-tier committee for major projects

Nagaland Government has constituted a two-tier committee for three major projects in the state namely— (i) Construction of New Railway Line from Dhansiri (Assam) to Zubza-Thizama, (ii) Construction of 4-lane Road (Dimapur to Kohima) and (iii) Construction of International standard Airport at Razaphema
In a press release, Addl. Development commissioner, Aolemla Jamir said that the committee (State Level Committee (Policy & Monitoring Issues) for construction of the three projects) headed by parliamentary secretary for Planning, Evaluation and Monitoring Cell, Neiba Kronu held its first meeting on Thursday at the conference hall of the Addl. CS & Development commissioner, Secretariat.
Kronu ask all the concern ministries and departments to expedite the works and to seek the help of the concerned Deputy Commissioners, especially in acquiring the land and payment of land compensations.  The committee would take up matters to expedite the survey works for the Dimapur to Tizit Railway as already approved by Centre.
Further, the committee has decided to press all concern departments and DCs to expedite the works for the proposed International Standard Airport at Razaphema.
