NSCN (K) ambush 14 AR at Arunachal

Continuing its offensive against the Assam Rifles (AR) personnel, NSCN (K) on Wednesday ambushed 14 AR troops who were on foot patrol in Arunachal Pradesh.
Talking to Nagaland Post, reliable sources from NSCN (K) claimed responsibility for the attack on the 14 AR foot patrolling party.
According to another source, during the ambush, NSCN (K) cadres also detonated four IEDs between 8 a.m. to 12.30 noon when Assam Rifles patrol party was moving from Changlang to Rangran. Following the IED blasts, both the sides exchanged heavy gun-fire.
Sources said that there were no casualties reported from both sides.
It may be mentioned that the NSCN (K) after abrogating the cease-fire agreement with the Government of India on March 27 has launched series of attacks on Assam Rifles posted, the most brutal being the Changlangsu (Mon district) ambush where eight AR personnel including a Naga TA (164) Bn jawan were killed.
