Implement NCDC projects: ANCSF urges govt

Seeking to know why selected projects of National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) were lying “untouched and kept pending”, the All Nagaland Co-operative Societies Federation (ANCSF) has strongly urged the state government to implement the scheme in the state at the earliest to boost up the economy of the co-operative societies in the state.
In a press release, ANCSF president R.K.Mero stated that it seemed the NCDC schemes were kept under the blanket, though the ban of NCDC was lifted. “Therefore, ANCSF would like to know why NCDC project is not implemented and keep on delaying for such lapse of years together,” stated the release.
Asserting that recovery of different loans cannot be the main points for delaying of the implementation of the scheme,  All Nagaland Co-operative Societies Federation (ANCSF) suggested that the federation and the department come under an umbrella to have a workshop in different districts for smooth recovery of their loans.
Meanwhile, the federation has expressed gratitude to the state government and cooperation department for completion of ICDP project programme for proper implementation in three districts Dimapur, Mon and Zunheboto.
Pointing out that the state government has started full-fledged district co-operative society offices in Peren, Longleng and Kiphire without proper designated officials, the federation urged the state government and the department to immediately create and post necessary requirements to those newly created office for proper implementation in the field of co-operative in the state.
ANCSF also proposed state government to implement centrally sponsored (ICDP) schemes in the district like Peren, Longleng and Kiphire for different co-operative societies to avail the project for the upliftment of the rural co-operators.
