Governor of Nagaland, Assam and Tripura, P.B. Acharya on Tuesday paid rich tribute to Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on his 124th birth anniversary.
In a message to the people, Acharya said “Dr. Ambedkar was a great politician and social reformer and the principle architect of Indian Constitution, which assured equality to all the citizens irrespective of caste, creed and religion.”
He said Babasaheb who held a strong notion against social divisions prevailing in the country at that time also organized campaigns to spread words of equality and annihilate the Indian caste system. He worked relentlessly and awakened the down trodden people of our country. Acharya appealed all to join in paying respects to the great son of our Motherland India.
