Nagaland BJP unit has informed that the party’s national president Amit Shah would be visiting Nagaland on April 17, accompanied by All India general secretary (Org) Ram Lal.
In a joint statement, State BJP unit general secretary, spokesperson K. James Vizo and general secretary (Org), Prashant Arora said that the Central leaders would depart for Imphal the next day (April 18). This is the first visit of Shah to North East after the change of guard, they stated.
All state executive members, four BJP MLAs, frontal morchas with five representatives and district units with seven representatives have been asked to attend the meeting with their reports, to be presided over by Amit Shah.
According to the programme itinerary– Shah will be received by Naga Traditional Troupe at Chumukedima Police Complex, thereafter he will hold series of meeting with: state office bearers (12.10-12.30 p.m.), BJP Legislatures (12.30-1 p.m.), general party meeting (2-4 p.m.), Naga Hoho/ENPO/NMA/Naga council/Muslim community/others (4-4.45 p.m.), reserved for RSS and Hindu organization (4.45-5.30 p.m.), Church leaders (two representative) 6-6.30 p.m., Chief Editors of Nagaland newspapers (6.30-7 p.m.), MP Nagaland/ENLU (7-7.30 p.m.), reserved for CM/Governor (7.30 to 8 p.m.) and 8-9 p.m. dinner with BJP party officials.
