Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) would be celebrating 50 years on November 29 where Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan has consented to grace the occasion as the chief guest. According to official sources, Mahajan would be unveiling the 50 years commemorative monolith and souvenir. The programme would be held at the NLA complex, Kohima. Chief minister T.R. Zeliang, Nagaland governor P.B Acharya, NLA speaker Chotisuh Sazo would also address the gathering including—Dr. S.C. Jamir, governor of Odisha, former chief minister and former interim body member; Neiphiu Rio, Lok Sabha MP and former chief minister and others.
