Naga National Council (NNC) has appealed both NSCN (K) and GPNR/NSCN (Khole-Kitovi) group to “withdraw the quit notice served to each other’s family members immediately.” In a press release, NNC information and publicity wing said NNC “being the parent body earnestly appeal both the leadership of GPRN/NSCN (KK) and NSCN (K) to withdraw quit notice served to each other family members immediately in the best interest of both the parties and the people of Dimapur in particular.” NNC said “this is not the time to do such an ugly and shameful thing among the brethren again to vitiate peaceful atmosphere prevailing in the Naga Homeland.” NNC said nobody wants to see killing among factions and brethren any more in the homeland, but peace and national unity. “Before any unwanted situation takes place, do withdraw the quit notice instantly otherwise both the parties will suffer and some people will simply laugh at you and clap their hands”, NNC said. For the sake of peace and freedom of Nagas, NNC urged both groups to “forgive and love each other in the name of our living God”.
