Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, W. Honje Konyak, observing that many departments have requested for exemption of vehicles from election duty, has appealed to all departments concerned not to write to the office for vehicle exemption.
According to an official bulletin, Deputy Commissioner Kohima has stated that no such cases will be entertained henceforth.
Kohima district is requisitioning vehicles not only for the state capital but also for those districts facing shortage of vehicles for election duty including Zunheboto, Pughoboto, Kiphire and Phek, added deputy commissioner.
