Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) has informed residents of Kohima that it would be shifting the dumping site currently located at Seithogei to Dzucha Pekhro, Phek road w.e.f., February 1.
Kohima municipal council also informed that sanitation fee shall be enhanced from Rs. 30 to Rs. 50 from February 1, due to the logistics involved in shifting of the dumping site such as distance to be covered by vehicles, enhancement in fuel rates, labour charges etc., adding, the sanitation fee will be revised as and when necessary.
Kohima municipal council further informed that the sanitation fee will be collected from all 19 wards of Kohima since Kohima municipal council was providing regular services to the wards in keeping the capital town clean.
