Ministry of Science and Technology, DST, New Delhi would be organising a programme for INSPIRE award winners on March 11 at Durbar Hall of Rashtrapati Bhawan, New Delhi where Pranab Mukherjee, President of India would meet the state award winners along with nodal officer INSPIRE Nagaland SCERT.
SCERT department has requested all registered schools in Nagaland to nominate their children for INSPIRE award to participate in the district level science exhibition.
The INSPIRE award science exhibition would nominate two from each school (class 6-10) where Rs. 5000 each will be given to each school for making their model and as TADA for child and teacher guide to come to the district level science exhibition.
It may be mentioned that Nagaland bagged the state award and potential for excellence award at national level INSPIRE science held from October 21-23 last at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
Sedevinü Sale, class 6, from Christian Higher Sec. School Dimapur received the state award with cash prize of Rs. 10,000 from the state minister in the presence of Dr. Ramasami Sceretary and Dr. Inder Jit Singh, IAS, Joint Secretary, Government of India, Ministry of Science & Technology, Department of Science & Technology.
Altogether, 8 students were awarded potential for excellence award with cash prize of Rs. 2500 each.
The award winners include Rumpa De from Zakisetuo Memorial High School Dimapur, Imnachil from Liz Wood School Dimapur, Vikas Mukhiya of Christian Mission School Meluri phek, Awarenla Imchen of Little Flower Higher Sec. School Kohima, Elizabeth Lotha of Agape School Chumukedima Dimapur, Manisha Thapa of Minister Hill Higher Sec. School Kohima, Rahu of Royal Foundation School Phek and Putulu of Royal Foundation School Phek.
