Deputy commissioner and returning officer, Kohima, W. Honje Konyak has informed that appointment letter of polling personnel for Kohima district have been issued to all concerned officials through nodal officers and head of departments with information on training schedules and venue.
All HoDs have been directed to ensure that the appointed officials of respective departments, institutions, offices to report for training classes as per schedule/venue as informed.
Meanwhile, DC informed all political parties and intending candidates of Kohima district that for filing of nominations, the maximum number of vehicle for a candidate allowed in the office premises of deputy commissioner & returning officer, Kohima is three with five people including the candidate as per provision given in the handbook for returning officer 2012 edition vide Para 5.22 under Chapter V.
