Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer (DC & DEO), Kohima, W. Honje Konyak has informed that as per instruction of election expenditure monitoring (July 2012), flying squads and static surveillance teams have been set up to seize unaccounted cash.
Therefore as per the election expenditure monitoring manual under Clause 4.7.4 (e), DC & DEO has instructed treasuries under Kohima district to receive sized cash beyond office hours and holidays.
