MTLT said it was convinced beyond doubt that the incidents had an element of individualistic interest rather than a common agenda for society and that whatsoever be the reason, condemned the actions on the fate days that resulted in taking the entire town and thousands of public to ransom.
It also termed the action of Nuklutoshi, on June 27 inside the NPF office as “uncivilized” and also deemed it as “ an insult to the Ao community” for which, it has demanded “ an unconditional public apology” from the minister.
Further, MTLT pointed out, that the June 27 incidents suggest that any meeting of NPF in future would also have the same result where public peace and harmony is disturbed and in this regard, urged the district administration not to allow any activities of the NPF within Mokokchung town till the people of the town are convinced that NPF activities would pose no threat to the peace and harmony of the general public.
In addition, MTLT also said activities of any organisation whether political or otherwise, deemed detrimental to peaceful coexistence of society will not be allowed in the larger interest of the public.
