A programme on general awareness on environment, climate change and development for engineers was held on April 29 at Administrative Training Institute (ATI), Kohima. With an aim to sensitize the technocrats about the need to keep the environmental issues in mind while pursuing the different development programmes, Dr. Hovithal Sothu, took up topics “Introduction to Environment”; “Environmental Regulations & Policy Framework- Indian Perspective” and “Climate Change”. Director, YARD, Ella Mary, enlightened the participants on the topic “Environment and Development”. Fifteen participants attended the programme from different engineering departments of the state which was coordinated by Dr. Hovithal N. Sothu, state coordinator, ATI.
