The meeting chaired by the BJP state unit president Dr. M. Chuba was attended by all the state office bearers.
According to state BJP, the party was optimistic of getting absolute votes in most of the constituencies in the districts of Kiphire, Peren, Tuensang and Kohima. Other districts are also expected to fare very well despite some drawbacks in only a few stations. Over all, this election had been a well coordinated democratic exercise, said media in-charge secretary. The BJP Nagaland has expressed gratitude to the Election commission, particularly the CEO, DEO, RO and all the officers and personnel including the paramilitary forces for ensuring a peaceful polling. The party has also thanked all the media, political parties, BJP party workers and the general public for their active participation.
Meanwhile, the state BJP has expressed regret and condemned the non inclusion of the Ladigarh polling station under Tamlu 41 A/c for reasons of being under the disputed area. With regard to this, BJP state unit has requested the Election commission to look into the matter, “which otherwise had polling station in the past.”
