Food carnival held at Salt Christian College

Trainees of Salt Christian College of Teacher Education (SCCTE) displayed their cooking talents at a Food Carnival held March 29 at Meren Chapel Hall, Salt Christian College (SCC), East Police colony, Dimapur. The carnival was a part of the co-curricular activities under the B-Ed curriculum.
According to a press release, altogether 59 palatable items from around the world cuisines including Chinese; Indian, Ethnic continental were presented. Invitees, food connoisseurs, community members and teachers attending the food carnival were “floored with the visual and scrumptious treat.”
The cosmic food items were diligently prepared by around 80 B.Ed students, who were divided into five groups. SCCTE and SCC director Dr Panger, and SCCTE Principal Dr Choudhary after a round-the -table food savouring marathon complimented on the talents exhibited by the students.
Many of the students stated they loved cooking, saying the carnival provided them a good platform to exhibit their cooking ability. The food carnival was organized by the Ethnic & Folk Club of SCCTE.
