Cong continues to fire salvo on DAN

Congress leaders Monday slammed the Naga People’s Front (NPF)-led DAN under the leadership of chief minister Neiphiu Rio for stunting the growth and development of the state and for its continued misgovernance.
The leaders were speaking at a public meeting in Tuensang Town Hall.
CLP leader Tokheho Yepthomi said that the eleven years of NPF misrule in Nagaland has been reflected in the dilapidated conditions of infrastructure, rampant financial mismanagement, blatant corruption, political mess and social unrest which brought miseries to the people of the state. 
He went on to state “enough is enough” and asked the NPF-led DAN to stop “fooling” the innocent public for achieving political gains.
Tokheho also reiterated that during the 2003 election campaign, the NPF promised that a solution would be brought about “within three months” if voted to power.
He said even after serving three consecutive terms, the DAN has not been deliver on the promise.
Tokheho urged the people to vote and elect K.V. Pusa, Congress candidate for the lone Lok Sabha seat in the state so as to bring change and development to the state. He assured the people that Congress would “lead and march” with the peoples in the new era.
Speaking at the rally, Congress MLA C. Apok Jamir who was also the convener of the campaign committee in Tuensang district, accused the DAN government of indulging in “corruption and embezzlement of money” meant for people.
He also referred to the breakdown in law and order situation in the state and other untold “suffering and miseries” of the people.
Apok pointed out that these could be termed as the only achievements of the NPF-led DAN government.
The Congress MLA also said that due to the non-payment of pending salaries, the SSA teachers in the state had been facing harrowing difficulties in earning their livelihood.
Apok called on the peoples to decide and choose the right direction and vote for K.V. Pusa for the welfare of the common peoples.  
Meanwhile, Tokheho also inaugurated the newly renovation building of DCC office Tuensang. Earlier, the rally programme was chaired by NPCC general secretary Dokiu Kecham. Prayer was invoked by pastor of KBCTT. Welcome address was delivered by N. Mosha president DCC Tuensang.
