NPF 32 Atoizu alleges kidnap, malpractice

Naga People’s Front (NPF) 32 Atoizu assembly constituency has alleged that there was malpractice in many polling stations and that several party leaders of NPF were kidnapped days before the voting.

Speaking to this correspondent over phone, chief agent of NPF candidate from 32 Atoizu, Hevukhu Kiba alleged that six active party workers were kidnapped days before the polling day at Shena New village by some unidentified gunmen in support of Independent Candidate Er. Picto Shohe. 

The chief agent of the NPF candidate further claimed that all of six from Shena New village and active NPF party workers were still missing.

He identified them as identified as Aketo Wotsa (chairman); Kahoto (gen.secy); Hokito Kits (finance); Nitoshe, Kikhevi and Pukhavi.

Kiba also alleged that there was illegal voting thus preventing free and fair voting system. According to chief agent, Independent supporters brought out statistics of the three respective candidates – Doshehe of NPF, Mughato of INC & Independent Er. Picto even before the counting of votes by the election commission. Condemning “unfair means, illegal booth capturing, kidnapping”, NPF Atoizu sought for re-poll.
