School of Agricultural Sciences & Rural Development (SASRD), Nagaland University, Medziphema Campus in collaboration with department of agriculture & ICAR, Research Complex for NEH Region, Jharnapani, would be organizing “Naga Kheti Mela, 2013” from October 17 to 19 at SASRD, Medziphema campus.
The mela is being organized with the objective to create a platform for effective transfer of technologies to the farming community.
This event will be the first of its kind initiative in the state where Nagaland University, Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Research Complex for NEH Region, Jharnapani, Nagaland and the agriculture & allied departments would come together to create an effective way of technology transfer to our farming community.
‘Naga Kheti Mela, 2013’, will focus on demonstration of technologies, exhibition of produce/products, interactive sessions of farmers with experts as well as video shows on modern agricultural technologies.
The event will be sponsored by National Horticulture Board (NHB), Central Institute of Horticulture (CIH), Small Farmers’ Agri-Business Consortium (SFAC), Department of Agriculture, Government of Nagaland & Department of Land Resources, Government of Nagaland.
