NPMHR submits memo to PM

Naga Peoples Movement for Human Rights (NPMHR) Sunday submitted a memorandum  to Prime Minister and copies of the same were forwarded to the Union Minister for Home and the government of India’s interlocutor R.S. Pandey demanding immediate and unconditional release of Anthony Ningkhan Shimray and all political prisoners.

This followed a candle light vigil observing the 3rd anniversary of “enforced disappearance and detention” of Anthony on September 27 at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi.

In a press release, NPMHR said the candle light vigil was participated by many Naga organizations and other groups like Democratic Students’ Union of India (DSU), Peoples Union for Democratic Rights (PUDR) and Campaign for Peace and Democracy, Manipur (CPDM). .
