Naga People’s Front (NPF) 33 Suruhuto assembly constituency has served ‘final notice’ on ‘ghost junior engineer (power)’, Suruhuto town, directing the officer to report to his duties within 10 days with effect from the date of this publication.

In a press release, 33 A/C NPF president Y. Kihoi Awomi and general secretary, K. Vikheto Awomi said the notice was being served as the “missing J.E”, who was posted to Suruhuto sub-station two-three years back, has not been seen by any public or department staff till today but was drawing salary without even showing his face.

Intimation was sent to him many a times but no positive response has been received, stated NPF unit leaders.

They also stated that the public were wondering how salary could be paid to such an irresponsible officer by the responsible DDO.

NPF Suruhuto A/C cautioned that non-compliance to its notice would lead to stern action against the “ghost J.E”. The signatories asserted to avoid unwanted situations, a notice was served to all heads of department under Suruhuto town to be stationed at their working place May 1 last but the responsible J.E. (power) was yet to respond.
