NSRLM, RD block Chümoukedima conducts paper bags making training

NSRLM, RD block Chümoukedima conducted a paper bag making training program in collaboration with Chümoukedima Town Council (CTC) at CTC hall on December 6. 

A press release from NSRLM, RD block, Chümoukedima, stated that Akhotso Kehie, Block Program Manager (BPM), thanked Chümoukedima EAC Thejavizo Nakhro for his concern towards SHG members of the block. He also requested the SHGs to take the training as a good opportunity for Income Generation Activities (IGA) subsequent to the banning of polythene/plastic bags less than 50 microns by the state government on December 1, 2018.

Thejavizo Nakhro in his speech to the SHG members thanked them for their active participation. He also promised all possible help from the government in finding avenues to sell/export products of the SHG paper bags, while also requesting them to maintain quality control of  products and reasonable prices.
