
Community Health Initiative (CHI) from Nagaland participated at the virtual “world’s biggest session on menstrual hygiene management” organized by Sakriya Charitable Trust (SCT).
A press release by CHI Dr. Rhondemo A. Kikon stated that, the event in Nagaland was organized by director of CHI Loreni Sophia, where she facilitated the online discussions and later had an interaction session with the participants on best practices related to menstrual hygiene management. She also showed them different menstrual products and suggested using recyclable sanitary napkins, being more environmentally friendly and cost-effective.
All 29 states in India from Kargil to Kanyakumari participated as one country, one mission, one day, and one-time. The event’s mission was to spread menstrual hygiene management, awareness, and taboos related to menstrual across the country.
