Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) has directed all the shopkeepers to immediately stop stocking their products/goods on the footpath as it was causing undue inconveniences to the pedestrians. According to an official bulletin, the KMC administrator, Kethosituo, has further informed all the shopkeepers that if they were found violating the notice during inspection their goods would be seized without any further notice and penalized as per the provision of the Nagaland Municipal Act 2001.
