NSRLP Kma induction program for area co-ordinator

Newly recruited staff of the Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRLM) under the department of Rural Development, designated as area coordinators are currently undergoing an intensive 5-day induction and immersion program at SIRD, Kohima commencing from September 5. 
The resource persons are the staffs of NSRLM who have been trained in various thematic areas at various stages under the mission. 
Addl. mission director, NRLM Nagaland, Azenuo Pienyü delivering the introductory note encouraged the staff to work in a true mission mode with the objective to uplift rural poor. She emphasized the need to work with humility so as to better connect with the people at the grassroots level.  
She further stressed on the importance of respecting each other while performing duties and to give one’s best in order to bring laurels to both the mission and the community as well. 
Overview on NRLM was delivered by state program manager for M&E/MIS, Imonenla Imkong Phom. 
Trainees would be introduced to the various concepts of NRLM with focus on key thematic areas such as social mobilization and social inclusion, livelihoods, financial inclusion and management, gender and convergence, capacity building, visioning and leadership. 
The trainees would also get trained as per their job requirements and field visits for participatory rural appraisal (PRA) exercises. After the induction process, as per the capacity building plans for any staff under NRLM, the new recruits would be sent for field immersion in the NRLM resource blocks for hands-on training and experience gaining.
