All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) has extended support to the petitioners in connection of PIL filed in Guahati High Court in regard to backdoor appointments of 239 non-indigenous to Grade IV posts in Nagaland Police department.
A press note by ANCSU president, Temjennungsang Jamir and general secretary, Benjong Longchar stated that Police department had violated the existing government notification by appointing 239 non locals in the police department during the past few years without following the decision of the government. ANCSU questioned Police department for blatantly appointing non-indigenous against posts reserved for the indigenous people of Nagaland. ANCSU was optimistic and pray that the court would deliver justice in the interest of the general public.
