KSSU supports PASN on illegal appointments

Kohima Sumi Students’ Union (KSSU) has extended its support to the Public Service Aspirant of Nagaland (PASN) ultimatum served to five departments namely Rural Development, Social Welfare, Labour Employment, Art and Culture and Treasuries and Accounts. 
In a press note, KSSU president, Hikivi Kinimi, assured support PSAN in “cleansing the menace of backdoor appointment in its entirety”. 
KSSU said it would not tolerate the misuse of power by some individuals for the vested interest overlooking the merits and appealed the concern departments to “immediately cancel all the illegal backdoor appointments”. The union also demanded requisition of all post that falls under the purview of NPSC.
KSSU further warned the government not to bypass the office memorandum issued through the department of personnel and administration reforms dated June 2016.  It stated the June 2016 office memorandum had banned all ad-hoc /casual/ temporary/ work charged appointments in the State and = that any appointments made on the contract basis, henceforth shall be null and void.
