As part of the Integrated Sericulture Development Project 2017, two-week long training programme simultaneously on silk knitting and muga gicha yarn preparation conducted by department of Sericulture culminated on May 20. The training programme was supervised by deputy director of sericulture, Yashimeren, attended by 16 beneficiaries from Dimapur and Kohima districts. Yashimeren said it was encouraging to see a large number of women taking up sericulture.
He also motivated the beneficiaries to continue honing their skills so as to actively make a living through sericulture activities.
Resource persons of the training programme were Wekupelu Lohe, Viketuno and Nungshikumla.
