The 2561st Buddha Jayanti was celebrated at Dimapur Dhamma Vihar under Society of Dhamma Bodhi & Meditation centre on May 10 in Kevija-u colony, Dimapur.
Prabhat Ferry, prayers and puja, flag hosting, fruits distribution in District Civil Hospital, Dhamma Sabhaie, religious congregation and cultural function were the highlights of the programme.
The religious congregation was graced by president of Dimapur District Citizen Forum, Joseph Lemtur as chief guest. Agarwal Vikash Trust N.E, India, president Harishankar Agarwal Singhania and treasure BJP Nagaland Mahesh Kotacha graced the occasion as guest of honour respectively.
Welcome speech was delivered by Soma Barua, introductory speech was delivered by the chairman K.K Paul, valedictory speech by David Sema on Meditation and Vipassana.
The celebration ended with a cultural function, where cultural secy Kamal Acharjee and joint secy Minal Barua & several artiste of Dimapur took part.
