Inter-departmental tourney begins at Aboi

The inaugural programme of the first inter-departmental tournament was graced by C Manpon Konyak, MLA 47 Aboi assembly constituency at Aboi local ground, Mon on October 12, 2023.

Speaking at the programme, Manpon Konyak lauded the departments for organising the tournament and bringing good image to Aboi. He also appreciated the departments involved for achieving such a feat. MLA said that the state government led by chief minister Neiphiu Rio was committed to bringing all round development. He expressed hope that Aboi would benefit from various development.

ADC Aboi, Phuleshe K Yepthomi, congratulated all the departments, civil society groups and officals of the sub-division for their active participation and cooperation. He also thanked the MLA for gracing the inaugural programme.

The programme was chaired by M. Phongnyei Konyak, PGT, GHSS. The tournament would witness various games including Football (male), Badminton (male, female and mixed doubles), Carrom (male and female) and penalty shout out (female).
