Eastern Nagaland College Students Union (ENCSU) has appealed the government, tribal hohos and the civil organizations to solve the present crises in an amicable and acceptable solution in the interest of the students’ community.
A press note by ENCSU chairman, Longre Chang and joint secretary, Nokchem Angth stated that due to the present crises, the students preparing for the HSLC and HSSLC examination have been gravely affected. It also stated that many parents could not send their children studying outside Nagaland to the institution owing to financial problems, while also students were not able to pay the college, school and hostel fees on time because of non-release of parents’ salary. ENCSU also appealed the state government to lift the ban on internet since many students need to fill up their forms for different examinations through online and to access notes and other information through internet during exam time.
ENCSU also appealed that the upcoming HSLC & HSSLC examinations be allowed to be conducted peacefully. In support to the appeals of “No Bandh” during the exam time by the ENSF, the ENCSU also appeals to all not to impose any bandh during the period of examination as imposing such would create fear psychosis and divert the attention of the students.
