AYO’s three units slam NPF Kma division

Northern Angami Youth organisation (NAYO), Southern Angami Youth Organization (SAYO) and Western Angami Youth organization (WAYO) –– the three range units of the Angami Youth Organisation in Kohima district –– have reacted to the statement of NPF Kohima division, which declared that it would no longer participate in any activities of the APO and AYO.
In a joint press statement, NAYO president, Neizolie Rüpreo, SAYO president Neisizo Kuotsu and WAYO president, Neidilhoutuo Sechü, asserted that NPF Kohima division had neither been part of their activities at any point in time nor was it welcome to any of their activities.
The three units while acknowledging the cooperation of intending candidates for abstaining from filing their nomination to ULB elections reminded the NPF Kohima division that “this was made possible because of the wisdom of the individual intending candidates and not the NPF.” They said NPF Kohima division did not even seem to remember that it was the NPF-led government that even extended the dates for filing of nominations.
Further, the range units of AYO reminded NPF Kohima division executive members that the tribe was above all political parties. The three units said that irrespective of political inclinations they stood united as a tribe, adding that no person in any political party should attempt to malign the honour of the tribe by making “politically motivated statements just to please their political masters.”
NAYO, SAVO and WAYO said they were “disgusted” by the attempts of “some politically motivated puppets” in the NPF Kohima division who stooped “so low to lick anything that their political masters show them just to please their despotic masters.”
The three range units of AYO have urged the president and executive members of the NPF Kohima division to meet AYO and its range officials anytime at AYO office and substantiate their claim about APO or AYO being politically motivated or stop issuing “baseless statements.”
