Collection & Aggregation Centre & FPO office Mokokchung dedicated

An office of Collection and Aggregation Centre & Farmers Producer Organization (FPO) Mokokchung under Mission Organic Value Chain Development for North Eastern Region (MOVCDNER) was dedicated under the initiative of district agriculture office (DAO) Mokokchung on March 16 at APMC premises. 
A press release by Mokokchung Organic Farmers Cooperative Society Ltd. (MOFCSL) chairman, Imtimar said that deputy district agriculture officer Mokokchung, Temsuienla while delivering the key note address in a brief program encouraged the organic farmers to work sincerely with all allegiance so as to achieve the goals of the government. 
She said that MOVCDNER is a centrally sponsored scheme that was taken up by the Agriculture department in order to enhance and promote organic food products of the state and also to bring about sustainable economic transformation among the local farmers. She also further stated that the department will facilitate the farmers in obtaining organic certification and also for value addition on various organic crops. She also highlighted the importance of FPO for the success of the organic farming.
Senior inspector cooperative societies, Bisarila L. Sangtam gave a systematic overview of book keeping. 
She also said that a society’s health depends on proper handling of cash register as it highlights all the details of inflow and outflow of cash in a transparent manner. The First session was followed by business session of the MOFCSL wherein agendas were discussed and resolutions were made for proper functioning of MOFCSL. 
The program was chaired by MOFCSL secretary, Akangnungsang Jamir, dedicatory prayer was said by Mokokchung Baptist Church pastor, N. Sobu Pongen, while the vote of thanks was proposed by MOFCSL chairman, Imtimar.
