Informing that the NH-39 at Km 174.5, near KMC dumping area, has been completely washed away by landslides owing to incessant rains, the state government has requested the commuters to bear with the inconveniences and adhere to traffic regulations worked out by the district administration and the civil police. Commissioner & secretary to the government of Nagaland Temjen Toy said all efforts were being made by the Border Roads Organization to restore the highway at the earliest but was likely to take some time depending on the weather conditions. The government also requested all truck owners/organizations to ensure that weight restrictions were strictly complied with.
