Acting on a tip off Dimapur police Sunday arrested one Raju Ahmed, son of Latu Mia of Badarpur under Karimganj district (Assam), at around 11:30 am for drug peddling.
Police said the accused was a habitual drug peddler who used to bring drugs from Dadu colony at Lahorijan and sell at Khermahal, super market area and other designated areas as well depending on customers’ demand through phone.
Police recovered 700 capsules of Spasmo Proxyvon and 184 nos of Nitrosen. Police said two other accomplices could not be arrested as they fled before they reached the scene. Charge sheeted under narcotic and cosmetic prevention act, the accused would be forwarded to the chief judicial magistrate, police added.
