Hushili urges trainees to enhance skill

Secretary of Industries and Commerce, N.Hushili Sema (IAS) has urged upon the trainees to enhance skill to go ahead with life. 
Speaking as chief guest at artisans skill training for development of bamboo cane & wood-based handicraft cluster under North East Region Textiles Partisans Scheme (NERTPS) here on Tuesday, Hushili said Nagas had craftsmanship inherited in blood. 
She encouraged the trainees to focus and refine their skills within the two weeks training.
Hushili also mentioned that with the availability of precious resources, such kind of training should concentrate on how to make use of the resources.
Hushili said if the training programme was undertaken seriously, it would go a long way in sustaining the livelihood. She informed that once everyone was economically independent the state would also prosper. 
She encouraged the trainees to be wise and utilize their skills for enhanced value and to have constant perseverance to achieve something valuable.
While delivering keynote address, additional director, Industries and Commerce, Er.S.Temsulong Jamir informed that the programme for training-skilling of artisans and craftsmen under cane, bamboo and wood based handicraft cluster development project was being implemented by the department of Industries and Commerce, supported by the ministry of textiles, GoI under NERTPS.  
Jamir mentioned that in the current project, the department would be supporting 6 (six) cane, bamboo and wood based clusters to be developed and established in 6 districts/areas.  The district/areas undertaken would be Tuli under Mokokchung district, Longleng under Longleng district, Ghathashi under Zunheboto district, Phutsuromi under Phek district, Longwa under Mon district and Jalukie under Peren district.  He also informed that within a span of two years, the project had to skill 500 artisans and craftsman for six clusters and six common facility centers created under the project.
The first batch inducted 42 trainees.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Er.Petehetuo Miasalhou, while God’s presence was invoked by manager (Acad), Er.Ebipeni Ezung. Special number was presented by diploma students NTTC and vote of thanks was proposed by deputy director, industries and commerce, Y.L.Thongtsar.
Later, Hushili Sema also inaugurated “smokeless meat dryer” designed and developed by technology incubation cell, NTTC.
