Refuting GDRN/NNC (NA)’s claim that “both civil and army wing” was officially dissolved,” MIP NNC/GDRN (NA) Tuesday clarified that the statement was only to create confusion among the public. MIP said NNC/GDRN (NA) was quite safe under the leadership of president Kiumkam, stating that it will keep striving for the betterment of the Nagas under the banner of NNC/GDRN (NA). It affirmed that NNC/GDRN (NA) will remain alive “till our long cherished goal is achieved”. It therefore, appealed to all stakeholders not to confuse with the news of the breakaway group statement. Rather, the breakaway group, according to MIP, has finally given up their immature political crisis with the president of NNC/GDRN (NA) by joining NSCN (I-M). Since, NNC/GDRN (NA) do not believe in violence outcome but has endeavored to serve the Naga nation through cooperation and mutual dialogue, the MIP said it has no hurt feeling against the decision of the breakaway group. Further, MIP said that it has even forgiven those rogue elements that attempted to kill Kimukam as NNC/GDRN (NA) firmly believed in nonviolence policy of achieving our common goal.
