Eastern Nagaland INC party urges govt. to address ENCSU demands

The Eastern  Nagaland INC  party coordination meeting  was  successfully  held  at Tuensang from October18 to 19, hosted by  the  District  Congress  Committee Tuensang,  to strengthen  the  Congress party in  Eastern Nagaland.
The coordination meeting was well attended by all the Congress leaders and workers from four districts Mon, Longleng, Kiphire and Tuensang.
During the meeting, ex- MLA & AICC member M. Shami Angh encouraged the party not to be discouraged as everybody know that even the regional party had to go through rough periods from 1998-2003.  He reminded the party to keep the purpose of politics very clear and go to the people.
He further opined  that,  in a democracy  the  support and voice  of the public  was very important  to achieve  good things for the public and thus, it was very important  to mould the public support. Vice president NPCC,  T. Tingyeih highlighted  the establishment  and activities  of the NPCC and its importance.  Shaboh ex- MLA & NPCC secretary also deliberated on the importance of unity in the party. The  coordination meeting was  held in two sessions  where  president DCC Tuensang N. Mosha  delivered welcome  address  while  the first session was chaired by president  DCC Mon Chingwang Konyak and second session was chaired by president DCC Kiphire, S. Thritsali.
At the meeting the Eastern Nagaland INC party seriously took note of all the discrepancies in the state under the NPF- BJP government.  The house further lamented the outright neglect of all the roads within Eastern Nagaland affecting all round development and strongly condemned such ill treatment. The house  also expressed shock over the handling of  the issue by the state  government in connection with ENCSU  demand for  4 MBBS seats  that had already  entered  the  3rd phase of agitation  without  any sign of positive response.
The house wondered how deprivation of such reservation of seats could happen by-passing the ruling 20 MLAs of Eastern Nagaland and questioned why the ENLU was sleeping over the issue without hearing the cry of their children.
INC party called upon the  ENLU   to wake up and address  the issue  immediately  and sense  the difficulties faced by the people  of Eastern Nagaland  as a result of  closing  down of offices  and schools  for many days now.
The house  further discussed  the absence of law and order in the state, which is becoming  normal by the passing of days and the issue of deprivation  of salaries  to teachers and  other  government employees  and the resultant  negative  affects  passed  down on the common public.   The house  called upon the  opposition less  NPF- BJP government  to perform   and act quickly  without  further  testing the  patience  of the people of  Nagaland.
The Eastern Nagaland INC party coordination meeting besides, passing several resolutions, resolved to work hard under the present NPCC teams under the leadership of K. Therie, president NPCC.
