AFRAU demands for Amur Falcon projects in Pangti village

Amur Falcons Roosting Area Union (AFRAU) held a general meeting on October 17, wherein the union partially accepted the government reply to its earlier demand and has temporarily suspended its resolution made on October 2.
A press note by AFRAU president, Zanthungo Shitiri stated that during its general meeting held on October 2, 2016, AFRAU had resolved to ban all government agencies, NGOs and tourist except media on the failure of appropriate reply from the government to the union demands. Union had on many occasions demanded that projects against Amur Falcon infrastructure development under Swadesh Darshan Scheme (SDS) for the year 2015-2016 under Tourism Nagaland, should be allotted to the rightful place and the needy citizens.
AFRAU stated that its demand on October 2 for allocating the works of “connectivity road to tourist spot” to Pangti village has not yet been met by the concerned authority.
However, basing on the partial reply of the government, AFRAU has started protection activities thereof.
In this regard the union warmly welcomes all distinguished tourist to witness the incredible roosting of Amur Falcon in millions at Pangti village.
AFRAU during its general meeting on October 17 has resolved not to carry any harmful weapons or bombings in and around the roosting place.  It also resolved to request the government to allot contract works in favour of the protector as most of the works were voluntarily maintained by its union even prior to the approval of the scheme.
The union also resolved that, the name of the roosting place should be named as Pangti village only and not as Doyang reservoir/lake as the Amur Falcon concentrate only under the jurisdiction of Pangti village. AFRAU stated that this was necessitated because the misleading propaganda of the roosting place as Doyang reservoir/lake, Amur Falcon project works were diverted to non visited place/area of the Amur Falcon.
It also stated that AFRAU would arrange all accommodation facilities for the benefits of the volunteers’ protectors. It requested all the visitors to kindly contact/intimate its union related Amur Falcon activities to president on 08414953472 and secretary on 08414834044. AFRAU also requested all the agencies to kindly co-operate with the union was the sole protector of the international species.
