An earthquake of light intensity shook Shillong in the early hours today. The tremor, measuring a magnitude of 5.3 on the Richter scale, occurred at 0412 hours with its epicenter at latitude 23.63 degree north and longitude 94.7 degree east of Indo-Myanmar border region, Central Seismological Observatory (CSO) officials said. However, there was no report of loss of life or property from anywhere, the officials added.
