Underlining the present scenario of unemployment in the state Doshehe Y. Sema, minister for power and election said, it has become very difficult to get a job in the state government but of late, job opportunities in the central movement have expanded especially in the armed forces.
In this connection, Doshehe (himself major) announced, as part of the state government’s objective to promote ‘capacity building’, over four thousand educated unemployed Naga youths will be recruited in armed forces. Coaching class for army would be introduced soon at Jakhama and trained army would be deployed for Korea so that they could be equipped to venture into main field.
He was speaking as chief guest at Dimapur Sumi Students’ Union freshers’ meet held on the theme ‘conscientious edcaton’ Saturday at Town Hall .
Expounding on responsibility of student leaders, he maintained that they should be accountable to the society and retain their stance while performing their duties and not to opt for oppression. He also stressed on acquiring knowledge in all subjects besides confining to a particular subject matter in order to acquire knowledge beyond boundary while also urging them choose right circle of friends. Basing on his professional career Doshehe called upon students to take hobbies seriously, besides setting a goal in life to pursue their career.
special feature of the programme inclued guest apperance by Mughai Achumi and Kim who enlightened te crowd with their song presentation which was folowed by contest for Mr and Miss Fresher. Hosts of invitees who attended the programme included Suruhoto MLA Shetoyi, GBs, DNSU and DMC members.
