APO inducts new team

Altogether ten members of Angami Public Organization (APO) were inducted Wednesday as new team of office bearers for APO for the tenure 2008-11. The induction ceremony was held at APO complex, Kohima.
The new APO team is being led by Kekhriengulie Linyü as president, Visosü Nyekha and Kruzolie Zhale as vice presidents, K. Neingunyü Sekhose and Ruokoheü Miachieo as general secretary and assistant respectively, Sacilie Angami as administration secretary, K. Seyie as finance secretary, Vithepfulie Kehie as treasurer, Medo Yhokha as the information and publicity secretary, and erstwhile APO president, Mhiesizokho Zinyü as advisor.
Expressing his gratitude, outgoing president, Mhiesizokho Zinyü, thanked everyone who supported in strengthening the organization throughout their tenure. He stated that chief minister and his legislators, contractors and gazetted officers, women, youth and student organizations stood as a firm foundation for organization, and also lauded the new team members. He further asserted that Nagas needed to forgive and reconcile each other for unity in the land. For this, he called upon the new team to lead the Angami’s towards higher ground and towards a better society.
Newly inducted APO president, Kekhriengulie Linyü, called upon his team members for their cooperation and collective leadership while leading the Angamis. He said that the Angamis hold a respectable position in the society because of the good deeds of veteran leaders, and urged younger generation to retain the position. “We should lead exemplary lives to other tribes of the state”, he said.
A time of exhortation was taken by Z.M. Sekhose, president, Tenyimi Central Union and Vipose Zao, ex-president, APO. The administration of oath to new office bearers was led by Keviletuo Kewhuo, convenor, APO nomination Committee and president of Naga Hoho, while dedication prayer was proposed by Rev. L. Suohie Mhasi. The programme was chaired by T.L. Angami, vice president, APO.
