Two NSCN (I-M) and four NSCN (K) cadres were apprehended Wednesday in separate incidents by a joint Mobile Vehicular Check Post (MVCP) of the 42 Assam Rifles and 164 (TA) near Iron Bridge, Kukidolong area.
A defecne communiqué issued by the PRO IGAR (N) said, acting on a tip off the Security Forces intercepted a Santro car and arrested the two NSCN (I-M) cadres along with 50 rounds of .303 ammunition and uniforms concealed inside the car.
In another incident, the same MVCP apprehended four NSCN (K) cadres along with three 9mm pistols and 32 live rounds of 9mm ammo. The Alto car was stopped on receiving specific inputs about the NSCN (K) cadres traveling from Kohima to Dimapur. All the apprehended cadres were handed over to police, Wednesday.
The release said Assam Rifles clarified that a state of high vigil is being maintained all over Nagaland to ensure that the Ceasefire Ground Rules (CFGRare adhered to by all factions. It also said that stringent measures will be adopted against any erring cadres violating the CFGR in Nagaland.
