Two cadres belonging to the Chang region of NSCN (K) were apprehended on May 8 from Duncan Basti junction during a routine MVCP by security forces. According to reports, the arrested cadres identified as ‘under secretary’ Thundy Chang, ‘assistant sectional officer’ Sibong Handy and a civilian driver identified as Changsang Chang were apprehended and a .22 pistol along with five live rounds of ammo including a receipt booklet was also recovered from their possession. The trio were later handed to police and booked under relevant sections of the act.
