Foundation stone laid for Pholami GHS

Foundation stone of Pholami Government High School was laid by additional chief secretary and development commissioner Alemtemshi, IAS, on May 29 at Pholami village.
After laying the Foundation Stone Alemtemshi held intensive interaction with villagers in connection with ‘vision document’ prepared by the villagers.
Amongst other things, the vision documents envisages gender equity, conservation of biodiversity, setting high standard of education, mechanization of agriculture and broad basing low credit system for sustainable livelihood.
Alemtemshi was appreciative of the visioning exercise carried out by villagers and suggested that such an exercise was the first of its kind he had come across the state and urged villagers to document the vision for wider sharing and replication. He also provided more insights to vision document including the well being of its citizens and improved road infrastructure. Besides, he also evolved and formulated appropriate strategies for realization of vision within time frame.
Later, addressing the gathering, Alemtemshi encouraged the villagers to ensure that quality education was imparted to students in newly upgraded GHS.
